...We are very grateful to have had Dan Carunchio teach our son and daughter piano over the past six years. Under his tutelage our children gained an appreciation of classical music and the skills to play any genre of music. His exceptional one on one instruction instilled enthusiasm and confidence in them to perform in private and public events, as well as provide piano accompaniment for other musicians and vocalists.
Dan is personable, kind, patient, and dedicated to teaching children of all ages. He was always accommodating and flexible with working with the children’s rigorous schedules. Overall, we would highly recommend taking piano lessons from him."
My oldest daughter began lessons with Dan in 2014 when she was in the third grade, and my younger daughter began in 2014, at the age of. Dan is not only an extremely skilled and talented pianist , but also a patient, kind, and enthusiastic teacher. My girls thoroughly enjoy their lessons, and it has been incredible to watch their musical technique and skills progress throughout the years.I can honestly say that while the lessons look different now, Dan has maintained the same high level of instruction."

My children have benefited tremendously from Dan's musical instruction. His constructive, hands-on approach helps students really dive into the music and enjoy playing it. His positive and encouraging teaching style motivates students, and his many practical techniques help students at every level master difficult passages. I especially like his well-rounded approach to music — he encourages the student to listen to different musicians and to learn about composers and the times in which they lived."

Dan is my son’s piano teacher since he was 7 years old, now almost 7 years ago. He can engage with children of all ages but also keep the focus during the practice. I like it that Dan keeps learning himself through continued development. Dan holds two recitals a year where the students can demonstrate their talent in a harmonious way. For me as a parent, Dan is very pleasant and professional to work with."

I have been studying piano with Dan for 3 years. I played piano from age 7 to 21 — through college where I had three different teachers and a recital at the end of every semester. I stopped playing completely for 28 years when my life of work and kids got in the way. I restarted piano 5 years ago during which time period I’ve had 3 teachers.
In my most recent experience searching for a teacher, I have been thrilled to find Dan. He brings many talents and experiences to teaching. First, he is an excellent pianist in his own right and hence understands the pressures of performing on the piano. He can demonstrate the pertinent aspects of every piece I’m working on.
Second, he brings the latest in interpretation and understanding of piano music. I have come to find that how pieces are to be played has evolved over time as research and refinement of music occurs through its study. Dan has both a bachelors and masters in music theory and performance and is in tune with the current trends and thoughts."
