I have a strong interest in the music of Chopin, Beethoven, and Bach. Here is a list of pieces that I have often performed or taught. Away from the piano, I have had strong training in keyboard harmony, counterpoint, and score reading.
I have taught score reading at the university level but like to introduce these concepts and tools to experienced younger pianists.
I like to use Bach four part chorales on separate staves to teach clef reading and basic transposition.
For keyboard harmony, I use the texts of Paul Vidal and Henri Challan. Writing harmony and counterpoint is a part of my daily musical practice.
I believe that pianists to be well rounded musicians, with an interest in theory and history.
